Come hang for the THIRD Farm Jam of the season at The Hamlet Organic Garden!
Set in a pastoral magical summer farm wonderland, the H.O.G is an integral part of the rich south shore community. $10 suggested donation helps sustain the farm & make it possible for us to hang with all of it's majesty.
Musicians: There will be a sign up sheet for an open mic put out no sooner than 6pm. It is first come, first serve, and the list will be limited to 20 performers. The amount of stage time allowed will directly reflect the amount of musicians we are trying to get heard, as we are in a residential neighborhood on a weekday. If less than 20 sign up, more stage time is allotted! Please try to bring solo, duos, or trios please (side acoustic percussion is ok, just be respectful of the load-in times for other musicians).
Party People: Ghost Brewing will be providing some of their delectable beers, while Great South Bar will be slingin' cocktails from their adorable RV.
There will be Freshly Shucked Oysters (as long as they last!) as well as Baked Goods & FARM FRESH PIZZA made to order to keep those tummies happy.
So let's have a magical night filled with live music, good vibes & deliciousness !

Terrance Simien takes his audiences on a multicultural tour of the world as the many countries he’s visited while on tour have informed his musical language. He creates a hypnotic blend of New Orleans funk-reggae-flavored-world-blues-American zydeco roots music that beckons you to your feet and into the groove. He has found a seamless and artful way to deliver his eclectic music as a relevant, evolving artist who is clearly rooted in Creole tradition. Well known for his legendary live performances, Simien also helped change the vocabulary for his genre by introducing complex vocal harmonies, diverse repertoire and carefully crafted high quality recordings.
Nancy Atlas and her band of Journeymen have been dominating the East End Music scene and Long Island for quite some time. Known for her raw, live performances and stellar songwriting Nancy and her band, The Nancy Atlas Project, have opened for almost everyone under the sun.

Charlotte's Speakeasy is like taking a trip back in time to the days of Prohibition, where the only way to get a drink was to seek out a secret speakeasy (i.e. bar) where they would only allow you to enter if you could say the secret password! As a matter of fact, Charlotte’s Speakeasy was an actual speakeasy back in the day – the bar is amazing, the drinks are fantastic, and it’s just an absolutely great place to see a band in an intimate setting.
Harmonica Bill & Marked Deck will be playing three sets of lowdown, greasy Chicago blues, featuring Rich Albertson on bass, Matt Lifford on piano/organ, Mark Carpentieri on drums, and very special guest Ryan Hartt on guitar.

This just in from Unsteady Freddy: "Here we are in the dead of Summer which for lovers of Instrumental Surf Music, is ideal! The opening band brings an old friend back to my Shindig Series. It’s guitarist Johnny Cola! Some of may remember his extraordinary talent when he was a member of a great instro surf combo from Long Island, THE OUTPATIENTS? Really miss them, actually. So I’m really excited to see Johnny live again, and his new band is getting rave reviews. They call themselves THE REVERB KINGS. I expect a Trad Instro Surf sound, where Johnny will knock us all out with his reverb mastery. And I know he digs the Spaghetti Western sound so I’m expecting to hear some. Welcome back Johnny!
And now hold on tight for some more reverb-filled news!! I have booked THE SUPERTONES!! Going back to May 2004, that’s when I presented my first SURF-ROCK SHINDIG, and I had THE SUPERTONES play! So I felt it symbolically the way to go for The NYC Tri-State Combo to be the band @ OTTO’S SHRUNKEN HEAD when we started my SHINDIGs again at OTTO’s in July, 2021, as “The Lockdown” from The Covid Pandemic was over. Did you folks know THE SUPERTONES have led “The Surf Scene” in our area since 1988? Yeah you read that right!!
THE WRAYCYCLERS will close out the Evening. I call them a hybrid band because their two guitarists are also members of 2 other popular surf bands: STRANGE BUT SURF and TARANTINOSNYC!! They are strictly a “Cover” band. I say that because the band’s name tells you whose music they feature. And warning! They are a powerhouse band!! No ballads, that’s for sure, when you’re playing the music of LINK WRAY (who should be in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with DICK DALE!) and DAVIE ALLAN & THE ARROWS. Davie plugged his guitars into a fuzz guitar pedal, and that played a huge role into the emergence of what became known as “psychedelic” rock. And because DAVIE ALLAN recorded tunes for many Spaghetti Westerns and “motorcycle movie soundtracks” he created his own personal sub genre known as Biker Rock.Anyway, that’s how the band’s name, The WrayCyclers, came to be!"
