At the end of this month’s column is a new feature called LOCAL MUSIC JUKEBOX that provides links to music releases by various local LI artists. This month we shine the spotlight on Dave Diamond, Linda Susman, Travis McKeveney, Mary Lamont, Russ Seeger, Rorie Kelly and Mark Newman. Please support the artists who create original music in Long Island!

Long Island progressive funk trio Baked Shrimp will celebrate the release of their 2nd studio album Conscious, at the Barnum Ballroom in Island Park, NY on April 3rd! The evening will feature two sets of live music from Baked Shrimp with a special guest horn section alongside Nick and Mike Rufolo from The Brothers Nylon. Included in the reservation price will be complementary selections of pizzas and appetizers for each table and TWO sets of live music. The venue will be capped at 25% capacity and all COVID-19 protocols will be followed. Masks will be required for entry and when not seated. Reservations can be purchased in parties of 2, 4, 6, or 10. consider putting that money back into your own community.

a thriving arts & culture scene
will return to cities across America.
RULE #3: Wear a mask!
If you’re going to a show, tiny cloth go over mouth & nose.
Period.
Vaccinated? Don’t care.
Already had it? Don’t care.
We only get one shot at restarting this machine. .
RULE #4: We are not babysitters.
We get it. Social distancing sucks.
