The Long Island Vegetable Orchestra (LIVO) was founded in 2011 at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University. LIVO was created by grammy-nominated, C.W. Post adjunct music professor, Dr. Dale Stuckenbruck. In 2005 Dr. Dale Stuckenbruck investigated carving musical instruments out of vegetables for a class at the Waldorf School of Garden City In the tradition of the Vienna Vegetable Orchestra. After being featured by the New York Times, this Orchestra's concert schedule has increased with events and press inquirers, including a feature on the Conan O' Brien Show. LIVO performs with freshly prepared instruments like a saxophone-soundalike “cucumberphone”, pumpkin bass drums struck with lemon grass, various carrot flutes, Delicious Dikon Double reeds, Butternut Squashes that carry the sound of brass instruments, Sweet Potato Ocarinas, Completely Natural Carrinets, The Squeaking Consort and The unique tearing, crushing and pounding sounds of our percussion.

Singer-songwriter Caroline Doctorow has been called a great champion of American folk music. Her most recent album Dreaming in Vinyl reached #2 on the national folk radio airplay charts. She received The Alexander Award from the Long Island Arts Council in 2018, and an official New York State Proclamation honoring her many years of work as a folksinger. In addition to eleven solo albums, she released the first retrospective of the work of '60s folk icons Richard and Mimi Fariña titled Another Country which received critical acclaim. She has opened for The Band, Alison Krauss, and Tim O'Brien, among others. Her songs and her voice have been heard on soundtracks on the large and small screen. She is the daughter of the late world-renowned author E.L. Doctorow.

The couple’s two albums, 2015’s Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams and 2017’s Contraband Love opened doors and ears as they toured with Jackson Browne, Little Feat, Emmylou Harris, Hot Tuna and John Prine. Mojo dubbed the pair “The first couple of Americana,” and American Songwriter wrote: "Larry and Teresa have created a unique sound inspired by the past, that is spirited, stirring and timeless." Joining them are longtime bassist/vocalist Jesse Murphy (Norah Jones, Brazilian Girls) plus drummer and Grammy-winning engineer Justin Guip.
