All hail the return of The Hideaways, a wild & loose proto-punk blues band always conjures up an atmosphere of Chuck Berry meets The Ramones with a side order of Blonde On Blond Bob Dylan, as they begin their First Sat of the Month Residency at Charlotte’s Speakeasy in Farmingdale, NY. For those who wish to attend and are not familiar with Charlotte’s Speakeasy: In keeping with the old-timey Speakeasy tradition, you will need to make a reservation, and you will need to grab the “password of the week” (which is available on the venue's website ) in order to get in. Doors open at 7pm, and it is suggested to come early, (and stay late of course.) The place is small and they only let 125 people in at a time.

Jellybands members have come to redefine what it means to be a cover band. “We’re not a jam band, we’re a jelly band!” has been Jellyband’s motto from their inception. Playing deep tracks from the sixties, mixed with contemporary anthems from the 90’s and beyond their musical cannon is vastly deep. The musical knowledge amassed by its members is extraordinary, and complement a female vocalist par excellence (Annie Mac) who also doubles on sax and flute with consumate ease. Their varied instrumentation allows them to explore musicial works not ordinarily associated with the term “cover band”.
