7th - Richie Cannata's Open Mic Jam

Richie Cannata's Mon Night Open Mic Jam with Friends started in the late 80's on a Wed. night at the China Club when the club was on west 75th and Broadway in NYC. It was called the "Pro Jam". The band was called Cat Lingo and Cannata co- hosted it with Julio Fernandez and Judy Tint was the host during the night. It developed into the most sought after live music event in the city for many years. We had major artists from all over the world come in and jam. The jam went through many changes as Julio and I both went on the road. I went out with Billy Joel and The Beach Boys and Julio with Spyro Gyra and when they came back it moved from club to club in the city. Bobby Nathan then took it over at The Triad and eventually it moved it to The Le Bar Bat. From there cannata took it over again and formed a new band with John, Chris, George and Jim with Lisa as the host and singer and started it at an east side club called Decade. They soon moved it over to The Cutting Room ,where it remained for five years, Kevin Bregande came in drums and Benny Harrison on keys The jam then found a new home at The Bitter End. Richie Cannata - Sax, Host / Benny Harrison - Keys, Vocals / Frosty Lawson- Trumpet, Flugelhorn and List Organizer, Vocals / Jim Moran - Guitar, Vocals. BROADWAY FRIGHT NIGHT is a celebration of songs from musicals with Supernatural, Horror and Sci-Fi themes. Created and hosted by New York Casting Director Stephen DeAngelis, five of New York’s finest vocalists will pay homage to Broadway and Off-Broadway's most original, intriguing and terrifying characters in this all-new concert event. The evening will include musical selections from Wicked; The Phantom of the Opera; Jekyll and Hyde; Little Shop of Horrors; The Rocky Horror Show; Young Frankenstein; Sweeney Todd; Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark; Dance of the Vampires; Bat Boy and much more!!! In addition to the live performance, there will also be a Costume contest where audience members are invited to dress as their favorite Broadway characters with the prize being a pair of tickets to an upcoming Broadway concert so come on down for a "spook-tacular" evening certain to give audience members of all ages thrills and chills. Miles Out: Ambient .. Spontaneous Sonic Experiments For Guitar and Effects with Veteran guitarist and Sound Sculptor John Haseth Each show completely improvised and a unique experience onto itself. Frank Zappa's Halloween shows at the Palladium in NYC were legendary. This event will focus on Ambient/Jambient re-imaginings of the songs from these shows, as well as excerpts from some horror movie soundtracks. Showtime: 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.

Spectacle and horror await you this Halloween...Part performance, part game show, pure evil!! A shocking, macabre interactive experience that blends circus and cabaret with a gory game show with truly twisted results. The Devil (as portrayed by Rob Romeo) hosts an evening of spectacle that will bring you closer than ever to mortal consequence and moral reprobation. The audience is invited to sign the Devil’s Contract to play the Devil’s Games.
